Time flies — and so does Coruja. When Roberto Picino and I decided to launch Coruja in 2023, our mission was clear: combine our passion for recruitment with extensive business experience, blending years of selecting top talent with unique insights into business models and best management practices—entrepreneurship in its most authentic form. We aimed to stand out by delivering exceptional experiences for both clients and candidates. Our vision went beyond entrepreneurship itself, aiming to create something truly genuine and impactful in Executive Search—an experience capable of positively influencing leaders and organizations alike. Therefore, we chose a boutique consulting model, focusing exclusively on select clients and building lasting relationships.
We adopted the principle of "fewer but better." Each project receives our full attention, from technical analysis to cultural immersion. Every hire transcends the traditional hiring process, becoming a genuine alignment of purpose. But back to the origins of Coruja...
I must admit, entrepreneurship was always on my radar. As the Brazilian singer Raul Seixas once said, “A dream dreamed together becomes reality,” yet choosing the wrong partner could turn this dream into a nightmare. That's why I chose Beto. Having known him for decades, I’ve always seen in him a rare restlessness—a relentless pursuit of excellence. From his early entrepreneurial ventures in high school to his leadership roles at global recruitment giants, he’s always gone beyond the obvious, doing what needs to be done.
I chose the ideal partner who, like me, rejects easy shortcuts, refuses superficiality, and understands that selecting high-level leaders involves much more than reviewing resumes. Ultimately, it’s about strategy, human connections, and the ability to identify, attract, and select leaders aligned with each client's culture and values.
As for me, I’m Rodolfo Ohl. For nearly two decades, I served as an executive at major global tech companies. During that period, I experienced firsthand the ups and downs of rapid growth, working closely with HR leaders and executives who taught me their challenges and opportunities in building high-performance teams. This experience revealed to me that each hire not only shapes a professional's future but also directs an organization's trajectory and the broader impact it creates on society. Our commitment extends beyond completing search assignments: we see each project as a bridge connecting conscious leaders and visionary organizations, building more human and sustainable companies—a legacy extending far beyond financial outcomes.
Ultimately, what truly solidified Coruja was the synergy between technical expertise and the human factor.
